Hello! Thank you for being such a wonderful client of The Grooming Gallery!
In this letter is some important information about changes in policy, pricing and booking procedures for 2018. I am now at the point where I have more clients than I do available appointments, and I can only groom so many dogs in a day. To make it fair for everyone in 2018, I am making a few changes and request that you book for the entire year if you want to guarantee a spot for your pet(s). If you have any questions, please email me at [email protected] or TEXT me at 701-483-4364. Appointments will be scheduled in the order I receive completed booking requests.
BOOKING: You can submit a booking request for 2018 by filling out and submitting the form above, or picking up a printed copy at the shop. I will select dates and times that best fit with your schedule, and get back to you with the dates for the year. I will not be contacting clients to book these spots until later this year in October, but submitting the form guarantees you a spot on the booking list. It will be first come, first serve as I will number the forms in the order I receive them.
Before you book, please be aware of the important information below.
When selecting how often you want to book your pup in, remember that the longer you wish to keep their coat, the more often they need to be groomed. I do not offer dematting services – it is painful and dangerous for your dog. If you do not like a short cut, your options are to keep them brushed and combed out completely at home between grooms, or book more often for a groom. Have questions about how to keep their coat in good shape at home? Please ask! I will be happy to schedule a time free of charge to show you how to do so. Bath and brushout appointments are an option as well, but please let me know if you wish to schedule a "BNB" versus a full groom, as the time slot allowed is different so I need to know that in advance. BNB appointments include bath, brushout, nails and a sanitary trim of potty areas. Any other trimming of the hair is a full groom appointment.
Prices are subject to change at any time without notice. As my costs go up, my grooming prices change to reflect this, as well as my experience and skill level. Things like re-bathing due to soiled cages, behavior issues, extra dirty or matted coats, haircut desired, overweight pets, etc all affect the price of the groom. Remember to potty your pup before drop off, and no meals or special treats before grooming. There is an additional charge if I have to re-bathe your pet due to soiled cages. Anal gland expression ($5) and nail grinding ($10) are by request only.
I will no longer allow flexi/retractable leashes on any dogs. All dogs that come in the shop MUST be on properly fitted harness/collars and regular leashes. Flexi-leashes do not offer the control I need to keep your dog safe from running out the door, jumping out of the kennels and injuring themselves, approaching other dogs that may not be friendly, etc. If you choose to use them at home, that is fine, but in my shop for safety purposes they are no longer allowed. No carriers or kennels please.
All dogs need to be up to date on rabies and distemper shots. On the booking form is a spot for your vet information, and a spot to check indicating your dog is up to date on shots. I will not groom any dog that is not current on vaccinations and will not book any dog without this information provided. By providing this information, you are giving me permission to contact your vet for verification of vaccinations.
Remember that I am open by appointment only. The time set at drop off is the time you need to be back to pick up your pets. I do not offer daycare services and there is an additional charge for pets left past the time I am done for the day. I try my best to work around my client's schedules, but I need to know those issues in advance so I can plan my own day around them. Please do not ever arrive to pick up your dog earlier than the set time or before I call you – I cannot safely finish your pup when they are super excited to see their people and they will be sent home unfinished if you show up early.
Occasionally things happen and you just cannot make your appointment – I understand, life happens! However, be aware that needing to re-schedule an appointment due to weather, sickness, or conflicts is difficult and unless I can find someone willing to trade with you, you may not be able to get another spot. In cases of extreme weather, I am ALWAYS at the shop as I live next door, but I do not want my clients to be unsafe! I will do my best to fit you in on another day if weather prevents you from keeping your appointment by adding in a later afternoon or a Saturday but it is not guaranteed. I always try my best.
However, appointments that are missed without notice or good reason causes me lost income for the day. If you miss an appointment without notice, you will need to pay in full for the missed appointment or any future appointments will be canceled and you will need to make other arrangements for your grooming needs. Please respect your appointments.
Reminder calls, e-mails or texts are sent out two days prior to your appointment. Be sure to confirm to these reminders by following the instructions in the text, email or call. Failure to do so may result in a scheduling conflict as I fill spots that are not confirmed with those on the wait list. If you need to cancel your spots for the year due to moving, loss of the pet, or you simply find another groomer you wish to use, please let me know ASAP so I can give your spots to another client.
Don't forget about the Paw Spa corner on your way out the door! Doggie perfume, treats, bandannas, bows, neck-ties and bow-ties are available for the taking. Please help yourself!
Thank you for trusting me with your pets – after all, they are family too! Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
