About me
Hi there! My name is Sarah but most know me as Seri, and I am the Owner/Groomer of The Grooming Gallery in Dickinson, ND. I am an avid animals lover and have experience in training, handling and pampering them all, from big to small! I attended school at Bismarck State College for Commercial Arts after graduating high school and also worked as a brusher and bather at In-Dog-Neat-O in Bismarck while attending college, which is where I decided I wanted to take my career to the dogs. I attended the Nevada School of Dog Grooming in Las Vegas, NV, and am a certified groomer with 360 hours of training. (see diploma below). As an artist and photographer, I strive to bring my artistic talents into my grooming as well.
The Grooming Gallery opened in 1998...I just celebrated 21 great years in business this year!

Many time during the business hours of The Grooming Gallery, customers who call in about scheduling appointments will get an answering machine. I am hearing impaired and can not talk on the phone to my clients. There are certain hours when there will be someone in the shop to take calls, but at times when there is no one else there the machine is available for clients to leave messages on. Someone WILL get back to you soon to answer questions and make appointments. Please be patient and wait for our call back. Thank you for understanding! You can TEXT me directly for a quick reply at 701-483-4364.
Check out the Contact Us page for other methods of contacting me.
I am a skilled lip-reader and must see people's faces in order to understand them correctly. Many people have not had experience talking with a hearing impaired individual. Please understand that if I do not answer you correctly or even not at all, I is not being rude or ignorant, but simply have not heard you correctly. To avoid any misunderstandings, please make sure you look at me when speaking to me, and to not over-enunciate or shout...this only makes lip-reading more difficult. If in doubt, feel free to write down any questions or demands on paper before coming in...then there will be no doubt that I will understand you, and I appreciate the effort on your part to make sure things are clear! :-)
I am committed to providing the best of care for your pets and want The Grooming Gallery to be your pet's home away from home. I will stop at nothing to ensure their comfort...and your peace of mind! Please email or text/call with any concerns or questions...we will be happy to answer them for you.

meet my pets!
Luke Short
Luke is the shop greeter! He is a fluffy Cardigan Welsh Corgi, which is a different breed than the Pembroke Welsh Corgis. He is often mistaken for a mix breed because his breed is not common in our area.
Luke loves to jump on the gate to demand attention, lick feet under the gate, and if he REALLY loves you, he will show you a toy. He comes to work with me every day to add to the chaos in the shop. |
Sally Skull
Sally was impounded and her owners didn't claim her. I went to clip her nails and she ended up going home with me. I had no intentions of keeping her, just fostering her, but that didn't work out so well. She became a part of the pack in no time at all. She had horrible teeth so we had to have almost all of them removed, and she was good as new! She is older, we figure around 10, but she is full of goofiness.

Bluford Duck

Meet Bluford Duck, aka, Blu! He was rescued from the pound and is an absolutely wonderful addition to my "herd". He has a blue speck in his eye and a white stripe up his ear, which is just adorable. Doc loves him as he loves to play. He never barks! He is very well behaved, loves to cuddle and loves to go for walks. He is my cuddle-bug...he sleeps as close to me as possible every night.
Doc Holliday

Meet Doc! I groomed Doc for many years before his owner had to find him a new home. He was always one of my favorites, so I was thrilled to have the chance to adopt him. He is a Pembroke Welsh Corgi.
Doc is perpetually happy. Always smiling, always happy, always bouncing. He loves to chase balls and eat socks. He is my cuddler...Bella and Wyatt are not much for cuddling, when they are sleeping, they want to sleep. Doc will curl up with me for hours and let me pet him...he's a lover.

The tortoise and the Fishies and the geckos and the lizards and the birds and the plants and...

I love fish, reptiles and frogs. You will see Moe and Lizzi, the bearded dragons in the shop, as well as Mango the Redfoot Tortoise. Mango is very friendly, feel free to pet him! The geckos in the cages are all Day Geckos - can you spot them?
The noisy lovebirds are Shasta and Sorbet. They are not so friendly and love to yell.
I'm fond of plants. You will notice.
The big fish in the tank are Kevin and Mooney. They love to beg for food. Theo the Turtle lives with me during the winter months, in the summer he goes to Summer Camp at a friend's pond in their yard.
